If the Cash Drawer is not opening / working, it's normally to do with a problem with the Receipt Printer, as the drawer is connected to this. Try each step below one at a time until the problem is resolved.
- On the till, under the Manager Screen, press 'Restart Printer' button (this step is only if your receipt printer also prints out order checks)
- Check the Cash Drawer cable is connected into the DK port on back of the Receipt Printer
- Check if the receipt printer is displaying an error light. This could indicate the paper has ran out or not inserted properly.
- Reset the printer by doing the following:
- Turn the printer off
- Hold down the paper feed button
- Turn the printer back on
- Once the printer starts printing or beeps, let go of the paper feed button
- The printer should now print out configuration settings
- Once its finished printing, turn the printer off and on normally (without holding paper feed button)
